I would like to become a medical transcriptionist for a few reasons. The main reason is job security. Medical transcription jobs are always available. In this industry you are always going to have clients because many people seek medical assistance from illnesses and injuries. Many other fields don’t give you that type of job security.

Another reason I would like to become a medical transcriptionist is because I’ve always been interested in this field. I feel there will be a way that I can assist in helping with those in need even though it won’t be in a hands-on situation like a doctor or a nurse. Being a medical transcriptionist is also a good way to earn a source of income. Considering most of the jobs in our area are minimum wage this will be a way for me to be able to earn an income that will help me support my children and myself.

This field will also give me a chance to be my own boss and set my own deadlines. I want to succeed at all costs and this industry will give me a chance to prove I can set my own deadlines and meet them and still get everything else done in my life. From where I stand there are numerous advantages of working in the medical transcriptionist industry. Those reasons are job security, good source of income; it gives me a chance to work from home and being able to assist those in need.

Being a Medical Transcriptionist Offers Flexability

Most of the reasons for the advantages I all ready outlined in my first paragraph so I would like to describe one of the most important advantages is the ability to work from home. My family is the most important thing in my life. My children are very active and I do a lot of running. Being a medical transcriptionist gives me a chance to work from home and devote more of my time to my children and my fiancé. It will give me the chance to earn money and still get my household duties accomplished at the same time.

The main reason behind motivating me to train in the medical transcriptionist field is the opportunity to have medical transcription jobs at home. My current job is an issue  because of summer time approaching and my kids will be out of school and I am unable to find a suitable babysitter or day care in my price range. My children are still fairly young and we definitely need the source of income so becoming a Medical Transcriptionist gives me the opportunity to earn a living and to make sure that my kids are taken care of over summer vacation.

I have set myself some realistic and important goals for my career as a Medical Transcriptionist. I would like to see myself learning a lot about all fields of medicine as it gives me a chance to be flexible an in demand for all fields of medicine. This will also give me added job security as I will be ready to handle different fields of medicine in case of any changes in the medical field. Hopefully this can also establish me as a serious Medical Transcriptionist and will give me the opportunity to possibly go into business for myself down the road.
